Why we pray at the same moment
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Prayer alone is good. Prayer together is something more. Scripture shows a church that prayed “with one accord, in one place,” and a people whose earnest, shared prayer God heard and answered. Jesus promised His own presence wherever even a few gather in His name.
Most of us can't be in one place. We can be in one moment. When you open this page at the same instant as someone in another city, another time zone, another season of life, you are not praying beside a screen. You are praying beside them, and Christ is in the midst of you.
That is the whole idea: one intention, one moment, many voices lifted together. We make no promises about outcomes; we trust the One we pray to. We simply believe that when His people pray together, something real happens, in the world and in us.
